Christian and I had a date night recently and have been planning to see this movie for some time. I'm really glad we set aside some time to go see it. It may be the best movie I've seen all year.
Perhaps I felt so good walking out of the theater just because of how refreshing it felt to see such a good story on the screen. Perhaps it was the story more than the movie that I liked. That would certainly explain how amazing the book sales are. But, there is no denying how authentic some of the actors appeared to be in the roles. Emma Stone may not have been as impressive as some of the others, but it was fine for her role in the movie. The parts of Minny and Aibilene are what really pulled the movie together and pulled at your heart in the process.
You really must set aside some time to see this movie.

had a date night with Christian last night. Things went well. After dinner we went to the movies and saw "District 9". Although it is a great movie, it was probably a bit too gross and violent for a date night movie.
There is an understanding that on the next date night, I will pick the place to eat, and Christian will pick the movie :)

wow...
just saw the movie "Requiem for a Dream" on Hulu.
absolutely amazing movie. Really good acting. Incredibly shocking. Definitely not for kids, but almost a must see for teenage kids who are thinking about trying their first dose of drugs to escape from some sort of pain.
man... i'm still a little on edge... not sure i'll be able to go to sleep tonight.

Just saw The Mist with Christian on a little date we went on. I believe it is the best Stephen King movie I've ever seen. Also it was finally one where I wasn't disappointed with the ending.
The movie isn't so much scary as it is disturbing and shocking. The entire audience was reacting to the movie. They even applauded at an event in the movie at one point!!
Very very good. Actually worth paying to see.

Awesome movie: The Prestige (2006). Check it out.
No wonder I love it. It is written and directed by Christopher Nolan, the same guy who wrote and directed Memento which is one of my all-time favorite movies. If you haven't seen that one, definitely check it out as well.
Also, he wrote and directed Batman Begins and the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight.
